The A413285  redundancy solution introduced in this article can achieve all redundant communication functions from the I/O layer, network layer, PLC layer to SCADA layer. The characteristic of this scheme is that each functional group has been established twice. For example, PLCs, switches, HMIs, etc. have both the main system equipment and the same backup system equipment. Its advantage is that when different devices in the main and backup systems fail simultaneously, the entire system will not be affected and can continue to operate. Of course, users can choose only a portion of the functions based on the application’s requirements, such as requiring only controller redundancy.

In this system, a dedicated redundant controller that supports A413285  is used. This controller integrates dedicated redundant interfaces; Integrate two or three RJ45 Ethernet interfaces, 100M full duplex. In the A413285  network, it belongs to both the IO controller and can also serve as an IO device; In addition, it is also the master station of the INTERBUS fieldbus.
In this system, two redundant controllers need to be configured for dual machine hot standby, one as the primary PLC and the other as the backup PLC. Two PLCs are connected through switches and Ethernet cables, as well as through redundant interfaces, serving as each other’s IO controllers and devices.
