In 1969, the first PLC was manufactured by Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) in the United States and successfully applied to the production lines of General Motors. The initial PLC only had functions such as logic control, timing, and counting. With the rapid development of electronic technology, computer technology, communication technology, and control technology, the functions of programmable controllers have far exceeded the scope of sequential control.
