Description

167699-02 1900/65A | BENTLY| Low performance microcontroller

Low performance 1900/65A stage (1976-1980): Represented by the MCS-48 series launched by Intel in 1976, it adopts a single-chip structure that integrates 8-bit CPU, 8-bit parallel I/O interface, 8-bit timing/counter, RAM, and ROM on a single semiconductor chip. Although its addressing range is limited (no more than 4 KB), there is no serial I/O, RAM and ROM capacity are small, and the interrupt system is relatively simple, its functions can meet the needs of general industrial 167699-02 and intelligent instruments and meters.
High performance microcontroller stage (1980-1990): During this stage, high-performance 8-bit microcontrollers were generally introduced with serial ports, multi-level interrupt processing systems, and multiple 16 bit timers/counters. The capacity of on-chip RAM and ROM is increased, and the addressing range can reach 64 KB. Some chips also have A/D conversion interfaces.
16 bit microcontroller stage (1983-1989): In 1983, Intel introduced the high-performance 16 bit microcontroller MCS-96 series, which adopted the latest manufacturing technology, resulting in a chip integration rate of up to 120000 transistors per chip.
Comprehensive and high-level development stage (since 1990): So far, there has been a trend for microcontrollers to transition from traditional 8-bit processor platforms to 32-bit advanced 1900/65A processor platforms, but 8-bit computers are still difficult to replace. 8-bit microcontrollers have low cost, low price, and are easy to develop. Their performance can meet most needs. Only in high-tech fields such as aerospace, automotive, and robotics, when high-speed processing of large amounts of data is required, 16/32-bit microcontrollers need to be selected. In general industrial fields, 8-bit general-purpose 167699-02 are still the most widely used microcontrollers at present. Microcontrollers are developing towards a higher level in all aspects, including integration, functionality, speed, reliability, and application fields.
The characteristics of microcontrollers are relatively complex programming and maintenance, often using C or assembly language for programming, low cost, and limited I/O interfaces.
