3500/22M 288055-01 interrupt response interval testing under Windows operating system
Out of curiosity, we also attempted to measure the time interval of PCIe interrupt response under the Windows operating system. The driver on the Windows platform has not yet used the on/off enable function, so it is only testing the interrupt interval in two scenarios: on-demand video and copying video files.
1. 3500/22M 288055-01 Scenario 1: On demand video, with a speed of around 10Mbps
From the above figure, it can be seen that after the last reset of the interrupt timing, a count of 12417491 clks (16ns) was generated again. At this time, the interrupt interval was about 198.7ms. Later, some count values were counted: 19026416 (304.4ms), 6486433 (103.8ms), 9981793 (159.7ms). When playing video on demand, the bandwidth has not reached the upper limit, and the time interval for the driver to process two adjacent interrupts is greater than 100ms. In order to test under high bandwidth conditions, we conducted scenario 2 testing.

From the above figure, it can be seen that after the last reset of the set interrupt timing, a count of 4175 clks (16ns) is generated again. At this time, the interrupt interval is about 66.8us. Later, some count values are recorded: 3595 (57.5us), 7456 (119.3us), 3582 (57.3us), and 4159 (66.5us). After the bandwidth increase, the frequency of Win32 drivers processing interrupts has significantly increased.
