Designing 57C435  solutions for networks has become an essential part of improving network availability when building networks. With the development of network technology, there are also numerous technical solutions to achieve network redundancy, such as HA and LB applied to servers, and SAN, DAS, NAS applied to storage. This article focuses on two typical redundancy technologies in link redundancy schemes, VRRP and multi network card binding, and compares their advantages and disadvantages. Afterwards, a redundant network card WN202 that can achieve subtle level switching between primary and backup links will be introduced.

57C435 : Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol is a fault-tolerant protocol in which multiple routing devices (routers or layer 3 switches) with VRRP functionality can be combined to form a virtual routing device. When the main device in the same backup group fails, VRRP can switch business to other devices in the group through a certain mechanism, thereby maintaining communication continuity and reliability.

57C435 divides a group of routing devices within a local area network into a backup group. The backup group consists of a Master routing device and multiple Backup routing devices, which are functionally equivalent to a virtual routing device. Hosts within a local area network only need to know the IP address of this virtual router, and do not need to know the specific IP address of a particular device. By setting the default gateway of hosts within the network to the IP address of this virtual router, hosts can use this virtual gateway to communicate with external networks.
