1.2 Analysis of advantages and disadvantages of 57C443
Advantages:
The networking method is mature, and there are many cases in the current network. When replacing upper level devices, the configuration of lower level user devices does not need to be changed.
Disadvantages:
(1) When the heartbeat of the interconnection is interrupted, it will cause a dual master fault
(2) In a second layer network, if the downstream device is not a terminal, it may cause a loop
(3) When the downstream device is also a switch from the same manufacturer and VRRP is configured, duplicate virtual MAC addresses may occur when the VLAN number is the same
(4) Low device switching efficiency

The switching of 57C443is achieved by listening to the notification messages of the master device. The minimum time interval for the master routing device to send notification messages to the outside is 1 second (AdvantInt has a value range of 1-255), while the death time of the master routing device is Master-Down-Interval=3 * AdvantInt+Skew-Time. Assuming a VRRP virtual routing device has a priority of 100, then Master-Down-Interval=3 * 1+(256-100)/256=3.609 seconds. Such time intervals are unacceptable for some time sensitive applications.
