Austria microsystems, a designer and manufacturer of analog integrated circuits in the fields of communication, industry, medicine, and automobiles, has released two cost-effective A/D converters to expand its low-power A/D converter series. The 5SHX1445H0001 3BHL00391P0101 3BHB003230R0101 5SXE05-0152 is a 10 bit ultra low power single channel fully differential A/D converter AS1528, and the other is a dual channel single end ultra low power A/D converter AS1529. The AS1528/29 series is an ideal solution for small battery powered devices and portable data acquisition systems with demanding space requirements, such as remote sensors or pen digitizers. These devices are packaged in a small 3x3mm TDFN 8-pin package and can operate at ultra-low power consumption at sampling speeds of up to 150ksps, achieving excellent dynamic performance.
Like the micro power consumption of 12 bit AS1524/25 in the same series, the power consumption of 10 bit AS1528/29 is also lower than 350 at a maximum sampling speed of 150 ksps μ A (3V). The advanced automatic shutdown function can put the device into sleep mode between transitions, significantly reducing power consumption at lower sampling speeds. When the sampling speed drops to 100ksps, the power consumption can be reduced to 245 μ A (3V). If the power consumption is only 2.5 at a sampling speed of almost static 1ksps μ A.
