From the above, F7126  can be seen that due to the addition of current limiting, isolation, and rectification in the AC input circuit, the delay time of the input signal is longer than that of the DC input circuit, which is its shortcoming. However, due to its high input voltage, the reliability of the input signal is higher than that of the DC input circuit. Generally, the AC input method is used in harsh environments such as oil mist and dust that do not require high responsiveness, while the DC input method is used in environments with good environmental conditions, less severe electromagnetic interference, and high responsiveness requirements.
2.3 Classification by the direction of current flowing into the common terminal
F7126  Leakage type input circuit

The leakage input circuit is shown in Figure 4. At this time, the current flows in from the PLC common terminal (COM or M terminal) and flows out from the input terminal, that is, the PLC common terminal is connected to the positive pole of an external DC power supply.
The F7126  shown in Figure 3 is also in the form of a source type input circuit, where the current flow is exactly opposite to that of a drain type circuit. The current of the source input circuit flows in from the input terminal of the PLC and flows out from the common terminal, which is connected to the negative pole of the external power supply.
If the cathodes of all input circuit diodes are connected, it constitutes a common cathode circuit
