Every F8627X  knows that stack overflow is a bad thing. However, the impact of each stack overflow varies. The nature of the damage and the timing of improper behavior depend entirely on which data or instructions are damaged and how they are used. Importantly, the time between stack overflow and its negative impact on the system depends on the time before using blocking bits.
Unfortunately, stack F8627X  is more susceptible to embedded system issues than desktop computers. There are several reasons for this, including:
·Embedded systems usually only occupy a small amount of RAM;
·Usually there is no virtual memory to roll back (because there are no disks);
·The firmware design based on RTOS tasks utilizes multiple stacks (one for each task), each stack size must be large enough to ensure that there is no unique worst-case stack depth;
·Interrupt handlers may attempt to use these same stacks.

What further F8627X  this issue is that there is no extensive testing to ensure that a specific stack is sufficiently large. You can test the system under various loading conditions, but it can only be tested for a long time. Tests running only in “half a blue moon” may not witness stack overflow occurring only in “one blue moon”.
Under algorithmic F8627X  (such as no recursion), it can be demonstrated that stack overflow will not occur by conducting a top-down analysis of the control flow of the code. However, every time the code is changed, a top-down analysis needs to be redone.
