FBM216 P0917TN is suitable for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) that decodes in the frequency domain and can implement mirror suppression processing in the frequency domain. Mirror suppression can be partially optimized (bin by bin). The assumption made is that the signals in the mirror frequency are coherent.
If you want to utilize the entire Nyquist frequency band, there is no choice but to use only a portion of the analog filter passband. If FBM216 P0917TN is only interested in half of the possible bandwidth for direct down conversion, such as only positive frequency (+1), then in addition to mirror frequency suppression in the first Nyquist region (-1), mirror frequency suppression in the second Nyquist region (+2) is also possible, with both regions having negative frequencies. This situation requires a filter in front of the mixer to suppress frequencies that fall in the second Nyquist region (-2, positive frequency), as well as the third Nyquist region above LO. This will require a SAW filter before the mixer, with a nominal bandwidth of 1.5 times the sampling frequency and a center frequency located 1/4 fs away from the local oscillator frequency.
When approaching the corner frequency of the higher-order filter, the frequency response will deviate from expectations, FBM216 P0917TN, and the mismatch between filters will become more complex. Please note that in the case of using a bandpass filter, this area may cover the entire passband.
