A GDD471A001  terminal on site needs to measure and control 12 switch input signals, 14 switch output signals, and 9 analog input signals. Therefore, we chose the S7-214 basic unit, one relay output expansion unit (EM222), and three analog input expansion units (EM231). This system has a total of 14 switch inputs, 18 switch outputs, and 9 analog input signals, meeting on-site requirements.


The GDD471A001  PLC basic unit provides an RS-485 interface. In order to connect with the wireless channel data transmitter (power supply, modem, imported radio station in one), we have specially designed a dedicated modem for the RS-485 interface and adopted photoelectric isolation technology to make the two completely independent electrically and avoid mutual interference. Due to the need for RTS signals during transmission by the data transmitter, and the RS-485 interface does not provide RTS signals, there are two ways to solve this problem. Firstly, the wireless modem generates an RTS signal based on the transmission information of the GDD471A001  , which requires the modem to be intelligent. At the same time, the PLC needs to communicate with the modem before sending the information to output the RTS signal and send back the information generated by the RTS. Then, the PLC sends the on-site information. Secondly, a certain I/O output point of the GDD471A001  is used to generate an RTS signal, which is then connected to the point by the PLC before sending the information. The data transmission machine is controlled to transmit the signal, and after a delay of a certain period of time (when the radio station establishes the carrier time), the information is then sent. The latter method is simple, practical, and effectively solves the interface problem of wireless communication.
