According to the on-site IS220PAICH2A of flow meter parameters, the Modbus/RS485 port of each Modbus to PROFIBUS DP gateway (PM-160) allows for the connection of 6 flow meters (the RS485 ports of 6 flow meters are connected to the RS485 ports of PM-160 through end-to-end connections). A total of 3 Modbus to PROFIBUS DP gateways (PM-160) were used for the 18 flow meters on site. After configuring Modbus read and write commands and serial communication parameters in the configuration software PMG-123 of gateway PM-160, the relevant hardware configuration and programming can be carried out on the PLC configuration page (according to the GSD file corresponding to gateway PM-160, three PROFIBUS DP slave stations can be configured under the PROFIBUS DP master station network), and data transmission can be achieved.

In the IS220PAICH2A shown in the figure below, the flowmeter displays 4 rows of data. The first row represents the first sampling signal value (flow rate), the second row represents the second sampling signal value (temperature), the third row represents the instantaneous value, and the fourth row represents the cumulative flow value. Among them, the value of the third sampling signal needs to be set through the instrument to be viewed.
