The impact of generator KX8974c V24 on the system is as follows:

If the reserve capacity of reactive power in the power system is insufficient, it will cause the voltage of some adjacent demagnetized generators to be lower than the allowable value, threatening the stable operation of the load and various power sources, and even leading to the voltage collapse and collapse of the system. This is the most serious consequence caused by generator demagnetization;
(2) The loss of excitation of a generator causes a voltage drop in the system, which will activate the excitation regulator of adjacent generators and increase their reactive power output. How should operators handle the KX8974c V24 after demagnetization (no excitation)?
The KX8974c V24 will operate asynchronously without excitation. According to the test results, the unit can operate with load, but it is only 50-60% of the rated capacity. The operating time of small and medium-sized units does not exceed 30 minutes, and large units (above 200MW) can only operate for 15 minutes.
Large units are equipped with demagnetization protection devices. The demagnetization protection device is equipped with a voltage disconnection blocking device and a low-voltage relay. When the low-voltage relay does not operate (the bus voltage is not lower than the allowable value), the demagnetization protection will not operate.
