Another trend is to merge cameras and processors into a compact device, known as the SCXI-1100 Smart Camera or Smart Sensor (see Figure 11). This has become very effective for individual camera applications and IoT devices. Due to its compact size, processing and input/output are limited. Although smart cameras are sometimes equipped with built-in lighting, they often require additional light sources. In most smart cameras, software is built-in, and the SCXI-1100 makes these the most user-friendly visual systems. Some products are designed specifically for OEM and can undertake more engineering work. These products do not provide pre installed software.

32-Channel, ±10 V, 4 Hz Filter, Voltage Input Module for SCXI—The SCXI­1100 is designed for the signal conditioning of millivolt, volt, and current signals. All channels are multiplexed with the option of multiple gain ranges with a jumper-selectable 4 Hz lowpass filter. These channels are multiplexed into a single channel of a controlling DAQ device, increasing the channel count of the DAQ system.
