Connect the PFXA 401S signal to the frequency converter and set the number of encoder lines on the frequency converter. Then use the panel to set the frequency and start stop control, and observe whether the displayed operating frequency fluctuates around the set frequency. Because when using dead loop vector control, the operating frequency is always at the speed feedback from the reference encoder, approaching the set frequency as closely as possible, so the operating frequency oscillates around the set frequency.


Set the values for the empty core diameter and maximum diameter in the program. Calculate the maximum pulse quantity (P2) and minimum pulse quantity (P2) generated by the encoder added to the tail of the motor using the formula for calculating the roll diameter earlier. By calculating the maximum pulse quantity, the speed of the winding motor is limited, because when the PFXA 401S converter is used for tension control, if the maximum speed is not limited, the winding motor will accelerate in case of yarn breakage or other situations. The minimum impulse is to avoid the winding frequency converter running below 2Hz, because when the frequency converter runs below 2Hz, the motor’s torque characteristics are very poor and there may be shaking.
Based on the PFXA 401S process of the entire winding analyzed earlier, a certain amount of torque compensation is carried out at different stages of winding with different diameters and operating speeds. The compensation size can be set as a percentage of the rated motor torque.
