The PM783F  step in the operation of an electromagnetic flowmeter developed based on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction is to excite it. The commonly used excitation technologies include AC excitation, binary excitation, ternary excitation, and dual frequency excitation. However, currently, the excitation technology of electromagnetic flow meters is mainly dominated by ternary low-frequency excitation technology and dual frequency excitation technology. Considering the characteristics of the electromagnetic flowmeter in this article, in order to ensure its excellent zero point stability and effectively reduce the order of magnitude of interference and flow noise of the measured medium, obtain fast response of the instrument, further reduce the unit flow rate PM783F  signal, reduce excitation power consumption, and achieve miniaturization, lightweighting, and integration of the sensor。


Therefore, the electromagnetic flowmeter studied in this article adopts the dual frequency rectangular wave excitation technology. That is, the excitation technology of overlaying high-frequency rectangular waves on low-frequency rectangular waves is adopted. Its waveform is shown in Figure l. Lh represents the low-frequency high-level cycle, L1 represents the low-frequency low-level PM783F  , Hh represents the high-frequency high-level cycle, and H1 represents the high-frequency low-level cycle.


The dual frequency excitation used forms an electromagnetic field with two frequency components inside the measuring tube of the electromagnetic flowmeter. The high-frequency excitation is not affected by fluid noise interference, and the low-frequency PM783F  has excellent zero point stability. The electromagnetic flowmeter calculates the signals of each component detected from high and low frequencies to generate a flow signal.
