The PPC907BE  interface has four wires, namely CS, SCLK, MOSI, and MISO.
SCLK is a synchronous signal that is generally controlled by the main controller.
Since it is communication, there naturally needs to be an object, as shown in Figures A and B.
A is the SPI Master, which means the main controller, such as a microcontroller, usually plays the role of the main controller. The main controller is responsible for sending SCLK synchronization signals to notify SPI Slave whether data communication is needed.
B is PPC907BE  Slave, which means a slave, such as a Flash chip.

CS represents chip selection signal, why use chip selection?
Because an SPI Master can communicate with different SPI Slaves
SPI Master is controlled through CS, specifically which SPI Slave it communicates with. Controlling CS to a low level indicates selecting that SPI Slave.
If you only communicate with one slave device, you can also directly connect the CS series resistor to ground, saving you the need to control it every time.
The full English name of MOSI is Master Output Slave Input, which is generally connected to the data output pin of the main control device and the data input pin of the machine component.
The full English name of  PPC907BE  is Slave Input Master Output, which generally connects to the data input pin of the main control device and the data output pin of the machine component.
In addition, there is a special usage of SPI communication using only SCLK and MOSI pins.
