Soft terminal SAACKE F-OSA is a special type of surface mount capacitor with flexible connection terminals. By designing flexible terminal electrodes and introducing conductive soft materials as connection terminals, it can provide certain protection for the capacitor body, so that it does not affect its quality and performance even when the assembly substrate bends and deforms, effectively solving the common mechanical stress fracture problem of traditional surface mount capacitors, and providing better mechanical reliability and vibration resistance for MLCC.

The Cu layer of the ordinary SAACKE F-OSA electrode was coated with Ni and Sn. Soft terminal MLCC is a resin layer structure added after the copper layer of ordinary MLCC, and then plated with Ni and Sn, using a special four layer terminal electrode structure design.

Due to the introduction of a special epoxy resin electrode material into the connection terminals, SAACKE F-OSA soft terminals form an elastic layer that maintains conductivity, which can more effectively absorb external stress and reduce stress transmission on the circuit board. This allows capacitors to withstand bending deformation of the PCB board caused by external environmental changes (such as vibration and temperature changes) during assembly and use without damage, improving the reliability of the product. It can also reduce mutual interference between various components in the circuit and prevent signal waveform deformation. In addition, soft terminal capacitors can also improve the frequency characteristics and signal-to-noise ratio of circuits, enabling them to have better transmission performance.
