A photoelectric SR469-P5-HI-A20-E disk with a central axis and circular grooves on it, with photoelectric * * * and receiving devices for reading, obtains four sets of sine wave signals combined into A, B, C, and D. Each sine wave has a phase difference of 90 degrees (360 SR469-P5-HI-A20-E relative to one cycle), and the C and D signals are reversed and stacked on both A and B to enhance stable signals; Another Z-phase pulse is output per revolution to represent the zero reference position.
Due to the 90 degree difference between phase A and phase B, the encoder’s forward and reverse rotation can be determined by comparing whether phase A is in front or phase B is in front. By using zero position pulses, the encoder’s zero reference position can be obtained.
The materials of SR469-P5-HI-A20-E disks include glass, metal, and plastic. Glass disks have thin engraved lines deposited on glass, which have good thermal stability and high accuracy. Metal disks can be directly engraved with or without lines, making them less fragile. However, due to the thickness of metal, accuracy is limited, and their thermal stability is one order of magnitude worse than that of glass. Plastic disks are economical and have low costs, but their accuracy, thermal stability, and lifespan are all slightly worse.
Resolution – The number of lines provided by the encoder for each 360 degree rotation is called resolution, also known as resolution or direct resolution, typically between 5-10000 lines per revolution.
