T9432 uses switches for device networking. To ensure the reliability of the entire network, it is necessary to choose a management type switch that supports relevant redundancy functions. Network redundancy involves related Ethernet redundancy protocols, including Fast Spanning Tree (RSTP) and Fast Loop Detection, MRP, and HSR.
By using RSTP and fast loop detection protocol, multiple loops can be constructed to ensure the existence of multiple redundant paths and increase system availability. When a transmission path fails, the data transmission will automatically switch to the backup path, with a switching time of 100-500ms; Its disadvantage is that the switching time is not fixed.
T9432 redundant networks are implemented using a ring structure, typically using the MRP protocol (T9432 ) with a determined switching time. MRP only allows one loop. The basic mechanism of MRP includes: based on ring topology, blocking and forwarding packets, and maintaining MAC address tables. Its master station is called Media Redundancy Master (MRM), and all other switches (slaves) are called Media Redundancy Clients (MRC). The maximum allowable number of switches in the loop is 50, and the MRP loop switching time is less than 200ms.
