3. UR9EV  synchronization time analysis
In a PLC soft redundancy system, in order for the backup system to take over the main system and continue working when the main system fails, the main controller must send the data that needs to be synchronized to the backup controller during normal operation, so that undisturbed switching can be achieved when a fault occurs.
The data synchronization time refers to the time required for the main station to send synchronized data to the backup station during normal system operation. The data synchronization of Siemens soft redundancy system is carried out multiple times through timed interrupts based on the size of the data volume, and the amount of data synchronized in a single synchronization is the same. The main CPU saves all the data that needs to be synchronized at the beginning of synchronization, and then sends data blocks of the same length to the backup CPU each time. This method evenly allocates time to each execution cycle, avoiding excessive time consumption for sending all data at once. But this also leads to the data obtained by the backup station lagging behind the master station.
