SR750-P5-G5-S5-LO-A20-R-T Threshold based segmentation method

1.1 Fixed threshold method – histogram bimodal method

This method is based on the bimodal phenomenon that appears on the image histogram. When an image has a bimodal phenomenon, its histogram will show two peaks, corresponding to two different color or brightness regions in the image. At this point, we can use the histogram bimodal method to automatically determine the appropriate threshold.

The basic idea of SR750-P5-G5-S5-LO-A20-R-T is as follows:

1. Calculate the grayscale histogram of the image.

2. Based on the positions of the two peaks in the histogram, calculate the threshold between the two peaks as the threshold for the image.
